Love / Hate

We here @ The Wonderful World Of Miss TLC......

LOVE how the legendary dessert spot Serendipity publicized their $25,000 sundae JUST last week... and were shut down by the health department this week for disgusting infractions. I'm not sure ANYONE will be dropping $25, much less $25,000 there for a while...

HATE that Pop Tarts (and most other food aimed at children) feels the need to make breakfast into dessert. What happened to the plain blueberry ones w/o icing (those were my favorites)? I mean really, LOOK at these flavors currently in the supermarkets. S'mores??? Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough??? Oh, excuse me, the strawberry FROSTED ones (with sprinkles) are "low-fat". I took two pictures below...

LOVE the movie "Tyler Perry's Why Did I Get Married?". I know it's been in the theaters a while now, but I just got to see it last week, and it did NOT disappoint in the least. This movie makes you laugh, cry, get angry, and get happy all within two hours. Tyler Perry really did his thing with this one hitting the nail on the head when it comes to common problems in today's marriages. I definitely think this is his best film yet by far...

HATE that artists like Amy Winehouse are so brutally addicted to drugs and refuse to get help so that they could just get back to making some good ass music. I mean DOING COKE ON THE STAGE (see below)?!?!?! Oh brother. Her sloppiness has reached new heights. (PS - I love Amy's music and I know that the "tortured soul" sound sometimes comes from a drug-addicted existence, but she wasn't THIS messed up before. Maybe she was a heavy drinker, or smoking a lot of weed before when she recorded her brilliant debut album, Frank, but now she's a certified crack-head)...

LOVE the cover to Mary J. Blige's upcoming album, "Growing Pains". I'm not really interested in the album (I was a HUGE fan of her first 4 albums, and then kinda lost interest... around the same time she got happy and less hood. I miss my old Mary.) But anyway, I digress. This new cover is very nice, clean, slick, and grown. Which I guess is fitting, considering it's named "Growing Pains" ;) ...

HATE that Victoria's Secret (one of my favoritest places in the whole wide world) has decided to play themselves by charging $120 for a dress IDENTICAL to one I purchased at Forever 21 over the summer for... drumroll please... $30. I have perfected the art of mixing and matching REALLY expensive pieces with REALLY inexpensive pieces, so I have no qualms about buying things at Forever 21, and then turning right around and buying a boatload from Burberry. So even though it may seem nonsensical to some the amount of money I actually spend on shoes, I DO understand the value of a dollar, and that's why I felt TERRIBLE when I saw the dress below in the current holiday catalog, and I knew that I wore one just like it to one of my birthday parties this year (yes, I said ONE of). I've posted a pic of the VS dress below. I will take a pic of the Forever 21 one this weekend and add it...

......and we just thought you should know.
