19. TWISTA "CATEGORY F5" 18,797 units sold
20. GREEN DAY "21ST CENTURY BREAKDOWN" 18,062 units sold
* Whoa Demi Lovato. Man, these Disney kids are really taking OVER! Between TWO Hannah albums, Demi, Jonas Brothers, and all the American Idol folx, you can really see that the tweens are running the market.
* Maxwell's still holding strong for the grown folx though! If you haven't heard his latest effort, check it out soon - VERY nice.
* Eminem and Lady Gaga have now both sold 1.2 million copies of their albums each. Eminem did it in 10 weeks though and it took Miss Gaga-garbage 39 weeks (yes, I said it... I think she tries too hard and when it's forced, it's nothing but phony to me).
* I'm truly surprised Jordin Sparks only sold 47K copies of her new album. That song "Battlefield" is hot and she's been doing lots of publicity looking beautiful as well.
* Total sales have dropped off by 200K units this week. What happened people!?!?!? Get back to buying NOW! :)

Let's Talk Shoes For A Second
This is a new segment where I will get something off my mind that's shoe-related. Now those of y'all who know and/or just read the site often know that I am a definitely shoe aficianado. (I would seriously marry some of my shoes if given the chance! Joking... maybe.)
So here goes...
Here's a pair of Yves St Laurent boots from the upcoming Fall season which retail at Berdorf Goodman for almost $1300. Now as crazy as it sounds, I don't have a problem with that part. What I do have a problem with however is the corny looking half platform at the front of the boot. *Sigh* This is a new-ish trend (I first caught the usage of this "partial platform" on a pair of shoes in Bloomingdales Soho about 7 or 8 months ago while shopping with my sister-in-law Lisa) and it needs to die soon. Believe me, I understand it's tres hard being a designer trying to come up with "new" and "different" and "unique" trends all the time, but some just shouldn't make it out of the starting gate. These "partial platforms" take away from the sleekness of a shoe front that has either a full platform or no platform at all. The breakaway in the front makes it look like a mishapen tap shoe gone wrong. The front of the foot looks awkward and SO unsexy (and you know Miss TLC is ALL about the sexy). Either way, I get that platforms help in the comfort department when rocking very high heels (I am personally a huge fan). But hiding it with material and or leather or invisible seams (like Christian Louboutin is famous for) is enough if you don't like the look of a platform. This trend is just plain silly and should stop NOW.
This has been a public service shoe announcment brought to you by Miss TLC. :)

In "Who Cares" Celeb News.....
From PopEater:
MISS TLC SAYS: This girl clearly has issues so just leave her alone. That's all she's ever in the press for anyway. I mean, when was she famous, like 4 years ago? And all she did was "The O.C." and a small role in "The Sixth Sense" as a child??? Hollywood is clearly too much for her, so give her peace.
From MTV News:
MISS TLC SAYS: They were still married? Wasn't she in St. Lucia for 8 months while he was in jail though? Bizarre, but nothing isn't with these two.
From UsMagazine.com:
MISS TLC SAYS: As if Jon & Kate together weren't bad enough, now Jon's insignificant girlfriend is making news?!?!?!? [1] Clearly this girl is just looking for her 15 minutes, and it's sad that US Magazine has given it to her. Although they did slap the headling "Bimbo" on her so that kinda sorta makes up for it. She must feel so honored. She's really making it big in Hollywood now! Ugh. [2] As if I couldn't find enough reasons to dislike Christian Audigier and his tacky design firm, he's BFF with Jon?!?!?! Ay dios mio.

MISS TLC SAYS: So in total, Michael Jackson has sold another 1,144,522 albums in total this week alone (1,132,636 in the top 10 listed above, and the other 13K+ throughout the rest of the chart). He now holds every spot in the top 1-12 on the catalog chart, and 11 of those 12 have INCREASED in sales since last week! I honestly thought that we would start to see a leveling off (or even a slight decrease) in sales this week now that it is a full 3 weeks since MJ passed, but NOT EVEN CLOSE.
[SIDENOTE: Catalog Albums are any album that has been out for longer than 18 months, so unfortunately, even if they're selling the same amount as current albums on the regular top 200 chart, they are listed on this chart instead.]
[SECOND SIDENOTE: Next week, The Wonderful World of Miss TLC will return to its regularly scheduled programming. That means we will go back to devoting "Chart Chat" to the "Current Albums" chart as opposed to the "Catalog Albums" chart. Don't be upset though! We will still post an abbreviated update about the Catalog Chart/MJ sales developments.]

A MISS TLC BREAKING NEWS ALERT!!!
Diprivan found in Michael Jackson's home! So sad, tragic, major, and scary. The Attorney General is now involved because Diprivan is a powerful sedative that can not be distributed in a pharmacy and can only be administered in a hospital.
Story developing. You can read it from the Associated Press here.

Me In A Cab

MISS TLC SAYS: It was VERY cool of NBC to do that and get those out so quickly. Aw. I agree!
For past editions of "Me In A Cab", just type that whole phrase (with quotes) into the search bar at the top of this page. Each of those posts shows a pic taken by Miss TLC in a cab with a random thought to go with it. Believe me, it's worth it. ;)
A Miss TLC New Video Alert: Drake - "Best I Ever Had"
Directed by Kanye West and filmed @ Bishop Ford High School in Broooooooklyn:
MISS TLC SAYS: I think the speech part is hilarious. "'The Mighty Ducks' didn't embarrass Emilio Estevez!" Of course, the boys probably won't even get the humor in this vid, and the girls will just hate on the blatant eye candy, but I think it's hella funny. "But you only ever taught us to stretch!!!" Ha.
PS.....
I thought this was Rihanna for a hot second at the beginning at the video and was like "WHAT?!?!?! He got her sprung like that?!?!!!?"
Ha.

A Former Best Friend Of Michael's Speaks "Today"
MISS TLC SAYS: This is all so interesting. His kids REALLY seemed to be well-adjusted in these photos and videos. And EVERYONE who knew him well always stresses that he was a VERY good father, and that those children were his life. It makes it all even sadder. I actually watched this live on the "Today" show this morning, and the way that Michael spoke and seemed so grateful in the video they showed of him grocery shopping (when Alan got them to close down a supermarket for him) was so touching. It's nice to know that he had somewhere to escape and feel safe with "normal" people though, even it was just temporary. This guy really seemed to care about him too, trying to give him everyday experiences and all, and letting him let his guard down when he stayed at his compound. Aw.

[SIDENOTE: Catalog Albums are any album that has been out for longer than 18 months, so unfortunately, even if they're selling the same amount as current albums on the regular top 200 chart, they are listed on this chart instead.]
